Voice Program Produces Bloopers for 2014
My voice program was much more cooperative in 2014 but there are some good ones from the archives that should bring a laugh or two.
In tennis news Roger Federer was always Roger "Feather!" He might as well change his name! And Rafael Nadal came up twice as "Ruffle Needle!" There was a great one from Wimbledon that I won't even try to explain. It speaks for itself! "I enjoy watching both players, but I was to work Budger Fetter because he has probably packed his prone interns into winning the grand slam... In Paris you are forced to run the hole with your shoulders serving Teffe." WHAT!?!
Golf always had some good ones. When I talked about Tiger Woods return, there was this one. "You had to be hooked on rock tuna" and when Phil got in hot water complaining to the media, my sentence about that came up as, "Phil being lucky from nutrients winning with his songwriter comments." The British Open was evidently being played at the "Loophole Golf Club," and poor Martin Kaymer came up as "Morphine Chiller." Certainly no longer a gentleman's game by Dragon Dictate efforts!
And of course our pathetic Phillies offered up these gems. "Probably wishful thinking on my heart" and "last watch at some of the masses on Sunday." You know it was a bad season when, "They need a borderline hologram by the end of their career in prayers and years." Pretty telling stuff even with the bloopers!
The soccer ones were good too but not out of context, so I will finish with a few from football and get on to the real sports news. Nick "Fouls, Foals, and Fulls" was a regular occurrence. Did you know that Detroit tried to "win the game with a field byline in the community Pouncy but the pony didn't occur," and last but not least that the Eagles picked up a wide receiver last spring in a "friendship with Kelly the old-school organ player!"
So enough of that. The real news in sports this week is that the Dallas Cowboys are moving on to play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in some majorly cold weather in a stadium without a roof!
There's the College football playoffs coming down to Ohio State versus Oregon on Monday night in Dallas, and Baseball's Hall of Fame picks were good but as expected. The Philadelphia 76ers aren't worth noting at all, and these freezing cold temperatures can take a hike!
